Merry Christmas!

Dear Friends and Fans of Lightpainted Dolls,

A lot of things have happened this year and the vast majority of them- great.

I am grateful to all of you for the amazing support and following! Thank you for what I could learn from you, for the inspiration you have provided me with and for the love I could see and feel every time one of your received my doll! This means the world to me and your words prove that it is all worth it every time I get a wonderful email from you.

Therefore I want to thank you very much again-

for another wonderful year,

for all your kindness,

for everlasting support,

and for making my life the dream life I always wanted to live- a life, in which my art work is the most important thing (or one of them) and where the dolls I make bring you as much joy as they bring me!

For the continuing love of dolls and doll making!!!

Merry Christmas and a wonderful New Year 2014!!!

With love,

Merry Christmas from Lightpainted Doll!

Talking about the weather…

I find it quite funny how the Brits like talking about the weather… I don’t like small talk, so I will never understand it. I will, however, talk about the weather myself now!

This is where we live. Well, 10 mins walk from the sea.

To all our concerned Friends and Family: we are fine, thanks a lot guys.

Unfortunately, as Yahoo News reported:

“By yesterday morning, a coastal storm driven by massive wind gusts along Britain and western Europe killed at least 13. Local London media reported gusts in excess of 100 miles per hour (about 160 km per hour) chewed up trees and flooded streets far inland.”
I am hiding in my studio… I can assure you, however, that even just the sound of the wind is terrifying.

Exhibition in St Petersburg- “Time of Dolls” (“Время кукол”)

Сайт на русском языке:

I am here again… St Petersburg- probably my favourite city in the world. Beautiful, spacious, with a lot of canals, gorgeous architecture, museums, and luckily for me- fantastic weather!

This is my second stay in St Petersburg and both times the weather amazed me. After endless months of cold in England, Russia (not?) surprisingly welcomes me with warmth once more.

I have been kindly invited by Lidia Snul of BJtales to join one of the biggest doll exhibitions there are in the centre of St Petersburg. I have enjoyed it greatly, met other doll artists, collectors and doll enthusiasts. Wonderful experience.

The exhibition is open until the 3rd of June, so those working during the week can visit and enjoy this great event over the weekend.

I will post more photos soon but here a few for now, taken with my phone.
